Bodybugg

If you watch the Biggest Loser on NBC, you may have noticed that the contestents wear a device on their arms all the time? Well, it's a calorie management system called the Bodybugg. It counts the number of calories that you burn from the activities you do everyday. It can help you manage your weight, and assist in your fitness goals. You can also track your calorie intake as well. Downfall, you have to purchase a monthly membership in order to acess the information the bodybugg collects. The membership costs about $9.95/month, unless you buy in bulk months, then you can save some $$.

These cost about $199, but may be worth it if you are really interested in losing weight. I may start saving for one of these (after I get my purse of course), so that I can manage my weight, once I get to my goal weight (after all, I am halfway there!)

You can check out the website for bodybugg:

Dreaming....

Lately, I have been saving my money so that I can finally be the owner of a Dooney & Burke handbag. I love these styles, and can't wait to get one...only problem is they are pricey! Here are some of my favorites...

Shiney It D&B Classic Satchel

This is the one I will most likely get. It has a matching wallet too, but I will have to save for that later :)

DB Rolling Traveler

I LOVE this traveler bag. It even has an umbrella that attaches to the straps on the outside! Only problem is that it costs over $1000! I guess I can still dream though

Shadow D&B Medium Kristen Tote

This one is adorable. I would love to use this as a bag to tote this and that around in. Especially things like Aidan's stuff, instead of using the lovely diaper bag. It is so stylish, and I want one of these too :)

There are a few other bags that I fell in love with from the website, but I wasn't able to save the pictures to post. One of them is a bag that resembles a duffle bag, which would be great for overnight stays! Just thinking about the possibility of owning any of these amazing handbags makes me jittery!

15 month checkup

Aidan went in today for his 15 month check up with his pediatrician. He is weighing in at 25 lbs 12 oz, and is 33 inches long. He is tall for his age/weight, and is growing like a weed. Developmentally, he is right on track. He can run, squat, feed himself, drink from a cup, and speak several words. He also knows 5 words in sign language (please, thank you, more, friend, and eat).

The bad news about his check up is that he has developed a double ear infection. Aidan is asymptomatic when it comes to these infections, and it is hard to tell that he even has one. This is his 3rd new infection since he turned 1 year. The doctor said that she will monitor him over the next few months, and determine if it is necessary for us to see an ENT doctor. The end result may be that he needs tubes in his ears.

To add to that, he has also developed a yeast infection on his bottom. Luckily, he doesn't itch it, and it doesn't seem to bother him a whole lot. We received a prescription for nystatin to put on him, and hopefully, it will clear up within a couple of weeks.

He also received 3 vaccinations at his visit: Hib, Hepatitis A, and his last of his Dtap series. He did cry when she stuck him, but he did get over it quickly. After his checkup, we went on a road trip to Topeka to see Grandma. He slept most of the way, ate lunch once we got there, and took another nap while I went to get his prescriptions filled.

Getting his prescriptions filled was way more hassle than it should have been. I went to Walgreens to drop them off before heading to my mom's, and came back about an hour later to pick them up. They had trouble getting my insurance to go through, so I had to go inside to wait. The pharmacy cashier must have been an idiot, because he didn't even put the BIN number in to send the claim. I explained this to him prior to dropping off the prescriptions, and he still didn't listen to me. So instead, I had to call my insurance to get them to talk them through it, so that way the claim will be processed. After inserting the BIN number, the claim went through right away. I can guarentee I will NEVER go back to Walgreens pharmacy unless it is an absolute emergency. They just don't have a clue to what they are doing.

Other than the pharmacy issue, and the fact that Aidan has a double ear infection, the day was pleasant. I really enjoyed getting to hang out with my boy all day, and being able to see my mom and brother. Plus, I can tell that Aidan had a good time as well.

goofing around

So Aidan was super active today and decided to be a complete goof. He has this big red ball that he received for his birthday, and just loves it. Today, he decided he would lay on top of it and let himself roll off of it. He just laughed, and got back on it again. He's such a nerd :)

He eventually crashed and went to bed not to long after, but we are still puzzled of where this bundle of energy came from....it's not like he had any sugar :)
